The Arizona Zoo & Conservation Center is a developing wildlife facility dedicated to animal care, education, and conservation. Though we are not yet open to the public, our mission is already in motion—building a space where rescued and rehabilitated animals can thrive while inspiring visitors to learn about the natural world. Our future zoo will feature climate-controlled bio-domes, outdoor enclosures, and interactive experiences designed to connect people with wildlife responsibly. From our onsite veterinary clinic and educational programs to sustainable habitats and summer camps, every detail is being crafted with one goal in mind: to protect, preserve, and promote the incredible diversity of life on Earth.

Big critters, small critters, bitey critters, sweet critters, scaley critters or fuzzy critters, we love them all here at Arizona Zoo.
AZCC began as a small and unofficial animal rescue mostly through word of mouth where we were using our own funds to rehab abandoned and surrendered pets. We had originally started taking in a few unwanted geckos and frogs from people who were having a very hard time keeping up with their needs. As word spread, we ended up with a whole lot of different critters from leopard geckos and reticulated pythons to a baby emu and farm animals from people who could no-longer care for them. One night, as we were sitting together and going over our finances, my wife half-jokingly said we should just charge admission to our house to raise the funds we needed to keep all these animals fed. I turned to her and asked, "what? Like a zoo?" And she replied, "why not?" and thus the idea for Arizona Zoo & Conservation Center was born!
We have been an official 501c3 nonprofit entity since April 28th,2025.
We take in all kinds of critters here at Arizona Zoo, from amphibians and reptiles to birds and mammals. We will rehabilitate and find new homes for each and every one of them.
