The Arizona Zoo & Conservation Center is more than an idea, it’s a vision in the making. We
are working to build one of the most technologically advanced zoos in the nation, complete with state-of-the-art veterinary care, innovative habitats, and a welcoming design that makes every visit unforgettable.
Our goal is to create a zoo where admission and food prices stay low, the experience is unforgettable and families can focus on enjoying their time together instead of worrying about what
they’re spending. To accomplish that, our mission goes far beyond our guests’ see.
Once built, our zoo plans to partner with Arizona’s Game and Fish Department, other zoos,
aquariums, and wildlife entities across the country to support endangered species breeding
efforts, wetlands restoration, and the rehabilitation of injured wildlife. We will provide
sanctuary for illegal exotics from the pet trade and take in abandoned pets, while also
actively creating specialized breeding projects and rewilding efforts to return threatened
species to their native habitats, restoring balance to our natural ecosystems.
Education will be at the heart of it all. By blending fun filled experiences with powerful
conservation lessons, we aim to inspire the next generation of wildlife advocates and
conservationists.
